I bought the pirate racing intake second hand (actually a locally made copy). It came with a very nicely machined snorkel, pod filter and an airbox that'd been roughly gutted to suit.
I cut the side out of the airbox and completely gutted the inside. I changed to a different filter to allow...
I believe pirate racing talk about needing a bigger chamber than the Arrow at that point in the exhaust to be optimal. I think they might use the full Akro system from the duke 690 R. This has a much bigger chamber than the Arrow.
I really don't think you can really get better than the stock...
This is how my modified airbox ended up. For all intents and purposes it's open, but now I've got a great glovebox that can fit my toolkit and half a dozen beers, plus it looks bloody good I reckon.
My tuner was surprised how my bike performed on the dyno. He was worried that removing all that...
I've got the pirate racing intake with pod filter, stock cat, removed rear muffler and just a small tip off the cat, pc6 with custom tune.
This is my graph before and after the tune. Note this is not a before and after of the mods. All mods were already in place on the before run and she was...
I'm just wiring in some new front and rear led indicators. My bike is a euro model, so the existing indicators were already led.
I am planning on just cutting the existing plugs off of the old indicators and splicing those plugs onto the new.
There's a weird stiff piece of heatshrink on the...
I'd love the front wheel!
Doubt you'd want to split them though and doubly doubt that shipping would stay inexpensive on an item like that to New Zealand.....
This has always confused me too. I've also been told the svart uses the same nitron shock as the vit, which has never made much sense to me considering the 15mm difference in travel length......
If they're Aluminium they will not spark. High carbon steel would be inclined to spark but I highly doubt they they are. If they're stainless steel it won't be inclined to spark anywhere near as much as carbon but possible. If you've got fuel leaking out of your tank onto a sliding sparking tank...
Awesome work monkeynuts!
I've read your thread on the vitpilen forum with great interest.
Do you have any more pics of the finished product? Maybe even a video of it reving up?
Cheers man
Thanks for the input.
I had read somewhere that someone had a discrepancy between their label/sticker:33/36 (I'm guessing that means on the aircleaner), and their manual: 32/32.
This is why I ask.
Mine says 32/32 on both.
