can confirm that i missed a shift on my first ride after installation. i'm going to chalk that up to oil warming up or not enough soak on the clutch plates after installation. havent experienced a false neutral 2nd and upwards yet
honestly that cracked clutch case looks like a really expensive problem :((
you can try to salvage with some gasket maker.
i made a few mistakes reassembling my clutch but ended up being able to finish it out
did you drop it? how did you remove the cover? did you use a hammer or otherwise try to wedge it apart? also, did you use a torque wrench set 8.9 lb/ft of torque? (i confess i snapped a bolt within my case by setting it to 12 lb/ft, misread 12 nM as lb/ft)
also, the gasket you have there looks...
Things went along swimmingly until i tried getting the clutch basket nut off.
For anyone wishing to do this mod. do not use DO NOT USE a fucking rotor holder in these holes, jam it against the swingarm and then use a breaker bar. you WILL ruin your fucking inner clutch hub. anyways, my bike is...
max HP for a duke 390 is around 9-9.8k. not too much point setting the indicators for anything past that, except for personal preference! i've seen some people set it for when the powerband starts, and the solid shift light for when it ends somewhere around 9.6k
went out for a ride and replicated it over and over again. its near shiftlight shifting from 1st to 2nd that is most egregious. almost pitches me straight over the damn bars
I've deliberately jammed the shifter up with my foot before and was able to replicate it as well. Only happens upshifting. It'll take clutch less downshifts with ease, which I'll attribute to the slipper clutch.
bike slips back into lower gear when upshifting rapidly. rolling off throttle, clutch in, shift up, reapply throttle in quick succession at mid-high RPMs. also occurs while clutchless upshifting at any RPM. it will also false neutral between gear 3-4
hahaaha its a race then! i ordered from bikebandit which i've realized orders OEM from overseas. you might beat me anyhow
planning on being gentle with the clutch disassembly and reusing the old gasket. would you happen to know if i'll need a castle nut holder? or would a deep socket suffice to...
up for grabs still. i miss shifts almost every time i try riding her a bit harder. i was thinking about getting this kit though, might as well swap my 11k mile clutchplates in the same go
ive seen some forum threads of people who have installed the spring, looks like the spring length may not...
