I used them on my luggage and they didn't stand up to constant high temperatures. Why not try both? The heat shield is pretty cheap

i wonder if deleting the catalytic convertor and putting a straight pipe on would get rid of a lot of the heat under the shock? Would sound pretty good too.

Yeah you can't beat Rhinowalk value. I had Kriega for about 10 years but they are just super expensive. I have found the Rhinowalk almost as good and a 1/3 of the price.

How are the Kriega/Rhinowalk bags attached to your bike? From the 4 mounting holes in the subframe? Do you think that will be enough luggage for your trip? PS. would be super awesome if someone designed a proper luggage rack that attached to those 4 subframe holes.

I got about 7,000 miles from the stock tyres. I'm not that heavy under 70kg so that could be a factor. Other people on here have only got 3-4000 miles. I like the pirellis but I rode a Vitpilen with Road 6's and that clinched it for me, much sharper in the turn and better handling. I also...

There's a lot of cheap decat options for the 790 on Aliexpress. I'm not sure if they will cause a check engine light though.

The standard tyres are fine, and as you can see I did my first trip to the Picos on them. They wear out quickly. I would say the Road 6's are better suited to big miles and touring. They also feel more sporty and improve the feel of the bike. Please post your trip photos here, I'm hoping more...

One last thing I forgot to share. This is the trip reading for the entire adventure. From my home to Berlin and back via France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Holland.
