I wanted to start up an exclusive thread for fender eliminated Bikes.

I know alot of you have them and I am not sure what the benefits are.

The search show some options;
HQV offers a EURO one and another one
Competition Werkes (have had one on all my prev. Bikes)
Evotech
Ibex
T-Rex
R&G
Rizoma (eliminates fender keeps plate low)

And probably a bunch others.

Anyone like to share Bout performance fit and low vs high?

Or is it pure looks...

This saved 2.3kg (5 lbs) from the end of the swingarm: unsprung weight!
Besides changing to a lithium battery it's probably the biggest weight savings you can do.

Here's mine, courtesy of @Vintage Veloce and his instructions (he knocked it out of the park). I used 0.09 inch aluminum plate. I also used remnants of that $18 plate to make a fork cap tool.

And yes, you'll get some dirt on ya. Oh well. The advantage of never having to take off and replace that silly rear guard/fender thing again is more than worth it.

I will put my new chain guard on once it comes in (Duke 390 model right off Amazon).

So, here is the idea:
1. HQV 401 Plate Kit
2. Svart' 250 Mud Flap
3. Evotech Shark Fin

4. Might look into the '17- 390 chainguard... because I am yet to find a better deal (anyone treid this one?)... might...

I guess its only fender exchange really, as far as possible within the regulations.

The rear end definately feels different... more sporty.

How much louder is that Remus than stock? I like it, but I wish it was angled a bit less. so that it as just a bit more horizontal.

Not really louder. Just a different tone. (Probably because many aftermarket cans have 2 db killers fitted)

Niosh app says its 1db queiter than stock at 4500 rpm distanced 30cm from the pipe.

It feels louder though

And about the angle, I like it in real life - even if it looks goofy in pics.

While I was at it, I filled the bolt holes for the passenger peg on the left side.

Checked through the parts list to find something in the right length and the ones for the front brake disc matched, so I grabbed some.

Aesthetics - matches the bolts heads on the other side.

Some added benefit I noticed, with the Remus pipe on and rear arm fender eliminated, it is now possible to align the rear axle with the KTM tool.
