That sounds encouraging. I’ve already tried once without success, so I plan to try again next week at a garage that specializes in automotive optics.
What confused me is that after my attempts there wasn’t even the slightest gap between the lens and the housing. I also couldn’t find any tabs or clips, so I assumed they might be glued.

Hey were you able to figure it out? You can try attaching a suction cup to the front lens and pulling it out.

Thanks for asking. I finished it three days ago. The cover turned out to be glued, so we used a heat gun to warm it up and open it. I went with the lighter yellow film Oracal Brimstone Yellow #25 to keep the color more yellow rather than orange. I'll post some pics next week.
