So, finally had the chance to took the bike on a weekend trip.
While I always found the bike to be sluggish and grumpy, it all changed one I passed the 1,000km on the ODO.
It feels like the bike became a lot snappier / hangs on the throttle far better - which not only helps in performance but also in the corners.

For me, it completely changed how I feel about the bike and I finally understand the journalists comments raving about the engine.

Did anyone noticed the same? I'd be surprised if it's all between the ears...

The top third of the power band is now available unless you ignored the low rpm limit. I don't know if anything becomes unlocked in the mapping. I noticed nothing different but my other bike is a lot quicker so I didn't expect a lot from it.

I could have sworn the behavior below 6,000rpms changed as well as I didn't always care about the yellow dashboard during break-in.
I guess it was just between the ears after than.

I also did not notice anything; but maybe it's just me; and I'm simply not sensitive enough...
...by the way, is it possible that you Belgians also have some Viking genes?? 😇

Nor did I, besides being able to rev freely and pushing it harder than I did before.

The only thing that should unlock when passing 1000km is RPM warnings. After 1000km, you can set up your own warning levels.

That's what I was told in the shop and what I found in the owner's manual.

I didn't notice anything... Besides what I mentioned above, but I haven't touched it :)

well, with my new bike, 3 problems so far....
1-battery had to be recharged the 1st day i tried to use it
2-connectivity module failure (as a message say in the dashboard)
3-the dahsboard seems sometimes to lose definition...

the bike runs happy, although iam in rain mode until i get used to that type of engine

i will take the bike next monday to check the 2 and 3 points.....

1. Same, replaced the battery.
So far, so good
2. Message showed up during diagnose (over voltage)
No issues, might be related to the battery dropping below a certain value
3. No experience

I haven't experienced the lose of definition but when the sun hits directly the dashboard you can barely see anything. Living in a country with 350 days of sun per year, that may be a problem...

From what I've read, even a slightly faulty battery can cause all kind of electrical and electronic issues.

I've also had the connectivity module failure when I just had the bike. At one point I paired my phone by Bluetooth to the bike. I worked and and the messages never appeared again.

Yes, I know 😊 Only happens 1 out of 10 rides. Shutting the bike completely off and then restarting solves the problem of the dashboard in my case.
