I am a mechanical guy so anything electrical pushies my insecurities, anyway got up this morning with a mission to fit, when they say plug and play no truer a word, this was the easiest and quickest module install ever, OK routing cables a little fiddley but cant see any other manufacturer being any different, happy chappy

Actually after I fitted my fuelx I did the ECU reset, I could hear the revs rise and fall during and it did smooth out during the end of the 15 minutes.
You may be correct but what harm can it do?
I also did it (on the 401, not the 801). I still think it’s something internet made up. 😊

Hi been focussing on MV Brutale 1000 over past days but now on hold as most parts are coming from Italy which pretty much closes for August, anyway I am blessed to have a second project, FuelX Lite fitted green lights glowing so I assume all ok (please bare in mind ive never ridden the bike 2 miles on clock not by me) new bar end mirrors on, fly screen on order (China), new brake clutch levers on order (China) head light protector on, hi flow upper and lower airbox installed (China) no fancy aftermarket £15 sprays, been in the game to long to be enticed by lovely red colours! both upper and lower filters dressed with 2 stroke oil, remember the purpose of the oil is just to add a layer of stickiness to the filter surface to catch the crap that the filter should be able to do in the first place! Removed baffle box replaced with a quality link pipe laser cut and laser welded (China), original can removed relplaced with straight through laser etched pipe (China) delivered with link pipe and all required screws, bolts, springs, assortment of spacers, fitted new 8 x 6 plates, I decided to change front/rear gearing ration, but will not discuss as I have no on road experience of this ratio, but confident as it was given from a good friend and experienced user. Yes been a busy day, lets see what tomorrow brings, secret waiting for parts to come to remove the void after big baffle removal.🤫

So is it too loud with the chamber deleted and the slip on installed? That was my experience but then again I have neighbors and law enforcement to deal with :p

Myself I like to do a mod and then ride it and see what the mod has done instead of doing them all at once. Also if it don't run right I know what to go back to to fix.

Keep us updated.

Nice! I'm glad you're happy with the FuelX... I'm yet to do it.
I do have the straight pipe, though (Competition Werx) but I need to revisit the exhaust pipe at the end... the previous owner of my bike chopped it short with new rivets etc. But I'm guessing he removed DB killer because overall, the bike is a tad too loud (I like it, but everyone tells me it's too loud...). I doubt I can 'fix' the modified exhaust, so I might have to look for a new slip-on. I'd love to know what you think of that laser etched pipe, if you wouldn't mind reporting back!

You are more than welcome, I have had nothing but good experiences from Ali so was happy to run with them for the actual exhaust they offer a robust returns policy which I have successfully used, there are a multitude of options, short, stubby, 1 into 2s but I went with the attached, it shows a bronze colour with black writing was delivered a titanium colour with white writing, thats China for you, but very happy cause the titanium and white actually suits my white colour scheme better. Its a straight through pipe no wadding, but there is a DB killer, I thought even with DB in place still a bit loud so closed the end of the DB with a pair of pliers, made it into more of a slit, so I believe noise levels are were I want them to be.
I previously bought this little tool for polishing paint, works great just the right rpm, polishing heads circled in red the attachment circled yellow is an alum mesh, it simpley rolls of the attachment, once cut you have a sausage of mesh, it is perfect sizing for inside pipe once placed into pipe DB was dramically reduced, just another otion to adjust levels.
Summary-
Quality of exhaust and link pipe- outstanding
Value for money- outstanding
Quality of auxiliaries- outstanding even came with gaskets
Missing components- none
Carriage- expensive approx £23
Criticism- coating on exhaust is a little thin easily scratched, care to be taken on instalation.

I understand totally and the wise way to go but its unfortunate that modifications arent that simple. You make a mod you test ride your happy, 2nd mod you test ride your happy, 3rd mod you test ride but NOT happy, step back and have a quiet thought is it mod 3 or interaction with 3 with 1 & 2, or is 1 in conflict with 2 or 3 or 2 in conflict with 1 & 3? I hope you understand were im coming from, many many people have went through this long before us, they have done the donkey work suffered the pain gained the benefits, trust in them its the same platform same engine, thats why I go all in, evidence based modifications.

I like that can. I'm still running the stocker and waiting for "the one". This may be it and if it's not I'm not out much. (y)
