Noticed today while riding, when I move my leg outwards I can hear a chain noise. Is this normal? Recently cleaned and lubed chain. Also adjusted chain tension. Should the 5-7mm gap be between the bottom lip of swing arm(tighter), or the first lip behind the swing arm(looser)? Any input is appreciated.

Some say the stock chains are junk and wear out quickly but I don't personally have enough miles on my 2022 for mine to be worn out. There is some chain noise as there is with all brands of bikes and chains.

How many miles do you have on the chain?

Thanks for the insight guys. How about measurement of the chain. From the outer lip of swing arm or the inner lip? I’ve seen multiple people state different.

Interestingly, I noticed the exact same noise on my 125 Svart last night when I moved my legs around. Initially I thought my chain wasn't tensioned correctly as I didn't have 6mm clearance to the lip on the swingarm (as shown on all the youtube videos I found last night. I've since found the post on here which explains that the 6mm gap should be in line with the chain, i.e the flat part under the swingarm not the lip. Now I know the chain tension is ok im wondering what the hell the noise is - could it be noise from the chain slider?

On my 401, I got a big pebble stuck under the front spocket cover. It was rattling around in here with the front spocket like crazy. Perhaps you should remove to cover to take a look?
