Handlebar Grip Compatibility?

I’ve been struggling to find confirmation on handlebar diameter and compatible grips for my 2021 Svartpilen.

It seems that some of the years of production have varying bar diameter from what I have seen on forums and other sites regarding bar risers? I believe this is a 26mm bar, but the grips I am seeing for sale everywhere are 7/8 (22mm).

Are the bars tapered at the grips to be universal? Sorry if this is a silly question, this is my first motorcycle, and I greatly appreciate any guidance.

Now i hope i'm not being silly when i say different makes of motorcycles have different handlebar diameters. The vast majority have Dia 22mm and as far as i know Svart/Vit have always been 22mm, but that doesn't stop u from having things the way u want.
You can do anything to your bike as long as u do it properly.

Only Harley's use a 1" bar as far as I know. You want grips for 3/4".

There are a multitude of ways to fit grips, some easier than others, some more permanent than others.......google YouTube and select your preference.

I wonder why paddle shaped grips like they have for bicycles aren't offered for motorcycles.

Also, I know there are some lock on grips for motorcycles but you'd think they'd all be lock on, so much easier.

The 7/8” (22mm) fit great! Thanks for your help

I used a little bit of rubbing alcohol to get them on, and did not use an adhesive as it was a very snug fit. I posted a pic of the results here in this thread
