Hi guys :)
I have a new video of the little big arrow we love, trying to do it's best at the racetracks. This time on Barcelona Catalunya circuit, which I must say, is the most absolute amazing racetrack ever (so far... :D )
Hope you like it!

What tyres are you running? I take it not the Rally STR! They look like Michelins?
When I realised I was going to ride more asphalt I changed the original Skorpions by the Pirelly MT60RS that the 701 model has.
Even the Skorpions are great tires, for the road this is a great improvement imo.

Love your videos, the sound adds such atmosphere. I am very envious of the weather you have though. Really makes me want to book a track day. 👍
Thanks :)
Do it by the way. Go to ride to a track. It's an amazing experience.
Also I ride on the road much better because I know far better the limits of the bike now.

Just got home from my first track evening on the vitpilen. My local track is Snetterton (about 25 mins away) which has two long straights but an interesting infield section (in so called ‘300’ format).
Mine is bone stock. No mods at all yet, plus I forgot to take my pressure gauge and the tyre guy left as the evening groups started. Hence I ran all 4 sessions at factory pressures. I normally lower them for the track.
Anyway, had a great time. Passed by just about everything on the straights but lots of fun chasing and occasionally overtaking people on the corners.
I do find the easyshift sometimes gives a false neutral leaving me suddenly bouncing off the rev limiter at WOT.
Apart from that, all good :)

Great!
Do you have any videos to share? I would love to see!
Thanks for sharing mate :)

No vids. They don’t allow cameras on the tank, helmet or leathers and I can’t be bothered to fix it anywhere else!
Just a very poor photo from the event photographer (which I haven’t bought hence the watermark!).

Awesome. When I read Snetterton I thought, no way, that little 401 will look like it’s going backwards on such a fast track….. Then I googled Snetterton (used to be one of the fastest tracks in the UK) and thought, that is not the track I remember. I had no idea they changed the lay out! That new (10years ago) circuit looks much better and is now one of the slowest average laps in the UK. Looks like fun.

As for the quick shifter, I found if I am still rolling throttle on it used to hit a false neutral sometimes but then I learned to stop twisting or back off a tiny bit and it works perfect every time for me. I do not use it below 3rd gear though.

Book one Jester. It’s a lot of fun. You’re in Suffolk. There’s another track evening at Snetterton on Monday with ‘no limits’ running it. It’s £59.

You can really annoy the ‘faster’ bikes. They come past on the straights, you catch ‘em in two corners and on the third….:)

The lining on my leathers disintegrated in the loft about 10 years ago, I binned them. I am a riding jeans and jacket man now…
I did a couple of the Ron Haslam riding school days at Donington 17years ago. Loved it but that was on someone else’s bike. Convincing the wife to get another bike in my 50s was hard enough, track days might be risking divorce and that would cost way more than I would like to spend.

No worries. I'm 56 and I'll stop when I physically can't ride anymore :D
Hopefully there's many more years left yet!
