Has anyone done mods like fuelX lite, airbox or exhaust etc. before 620 mile running in? Will the fuelX lite affect the auto RPM change triggered by reaching 620 mile point?
It is too wet for me to get out here and I am thinking of fitting my exhaust, airbox and filter but do not want it to cause problems.
Thank you for your help in advance, Jes.

I doubt it will give you any issues. It’s not an ECU, it just fools the bike to think the lambda measurements are different. I did Fuel Ex, K&N filter and slip on after the first service.

I just wanted some reassurance I guess. I have already made the decision to service the bike myself after falling out with the dealer that I bought it from. If it does cause issues, it would be on me as here in the UK husky will not honour warranty if you self service. Seems a bit wrong as my bike came with non Motorex oil, coolant and fork oil, but there you go.
I have done a dry fit of exhaust and the fuelX, so it is very much ‘on my mind.’ So might fit them tomorrow. Ready for when the weather clears and the roads aren’t flooded.

So, passed 620 miles and no issues at all. In fact the quick-shifter is a lot smoother now and engine pulls hard from 6000 up.
The last time I went out a week ago I had done 630 miles once back home. Today I reset the service reminder, I was expecting it to go to 620 mile but no, it went to 4661 miles. I am very surprised with this as I have read that only dealers can reset the 7500km (4661m) interval? I spoke to the Husky dealer I bought the bike from about getting the service interval reset but not doing the service. I was happy to pay for just the reset. I have done all the other stuff myself and would not require (nor would I trust) them to actually touch anything. They said they could do it but they would still charge me the £180 for the first service!! This is an absolute rip off from them. Obviously they only care about making money and not customer requirements.
Anyway I am really happy I have been able to reset the service myself and now do not have to ever go to them again.

I did mine immediately after the 600 mile service. I didn't want the dealer to see it in case I have any warranty issues. It would be real easy to switch it back if I had to take it in. It's the best mod I've done to the bike though, the Fuel-X Lite and the DNA air filters. It gives the intake a really cool sound when you twist the throttle, and as you said the power is much smoother across the RPM range.

Jester, did you already buy the FuelX? If not, then I’m picking mine off my bike soon since I’m about to trade in my 401 at the dealer.

Yes I was surprised how much smoother the fuelX made the low end feel, genuinely the best mod I think.

Yes I bought it in November last year but bike was stored over winter.
You’ll be getting an 801 then?

Apologies, I read to sloppy. Yes, I’m trading in the 401 for a 801. Kinda pointless I guess since the 401 is enough for me, but it’s always fun to try new things. I almost got back what I payed for the 401 new so it was a good deal.
