Hello,
The gear sensor wire is off from the sensor it self, is there anyway to open the sensor to re-solder the cable?
I see that there is a little gap but have not yet used brutal force and it looks a bit tricky, so I ask you guys if anyone knows hot to refit the cable.
I guess it rips of very easy due to itäs place on the bike...

I managed to fix it,

There was a plastic cap that could be pealed off but it took a while.

Under it the resistors where molded in expoxy but thre where a few mm cable visable where it was possible to scrape off isolation and solder a new cable on it - seems to work as per the ohm meter :)

Any idea on what made the wire come apart in the first place?

Bad quality? Was the wire stretched or yanked?

I think the quality could be a bit better, the cable is entering a lastic hole and there can be stress to it where it is attached. I think that the actual location of the unit close to the gear change pedal is the issue - very easy for it to get stucked in something.
Quite easy to fix when you know how to open it..
