Trying to decide whether to fit frame sliders and I keep going back and forth on it.
The case for is obvious. The bodywork is expensive and a parking lot drop scuffs it permanently. The case against is that the Vit’s whole thing is the clean, uncluttered mid-section, and every photo I’ve seen of sliders on this bike has two pucks sticking out right in the middle of it.
So, a few questions for anyone who’s fitted them:
1. What are you running? I’ve looked at T-Rex no-cut, SATO (much lower profile), and R&G.
2. Does it bother you visually after living with it, or did you stop noticing?
3. Anyone actually dropped the bike with them on? Did they do their job?
4. For those who skipped frame sliders, did you go axle sliders and spools instead, and was that enough?
Photos of yours fitted would be hugely appreciated, especially on a lighter colourway. Thanks.
