Turn by turn colour navigation

Am I missing something, I thought the onboard navigation would show a full colour map with the route etc like my car. I only seem to get very basic info on the bottom of the screen. I have subscribed to the upgraded nav ( trial only for now) I get the map on my phone but not on the bike screen. Thanks in advance

As I'm using a TomTom, I've not tested the Navigation app.
But if it's similar to the KTM version, it seems the phone is additionally necessary to show the map.

Yeh, you need the phone as well Tom. I don’t mind that. I thought in the navigation setting via the left handlebar control you would get a full display. I don’t want to have two separate units personally. I have a Beeline Moto2 that I used on my Ducati which is small and unobtrusive.
