Just received this gizmo... but I'm still waiting for the new spring for my Svart. Soon I'll get to use it and I'll report on how the new spring works out then.

Nice kit. I need to change springs on one of my vintage bikes and built my own with a quick trip to the hardware store....
Do you push on both ends of the spring with that? Have you tried it yet?
I have used one of these on my vintage bikes, but it is too small for modern bikes. But it's cheap and good:

Yes - you remove one of the three rods, then slip the plates between the spring loops, re-insert the rod and start screwing down the nuts. You do have to go around and do each nut a bit at a time, unlike the motion pro one. I needed something quick, and this worked fine.
