Hello,

A quick note on the Pyramid front fender extender. I have remarked on it here a few times but recently looked into it in more detail.
I suspect there are two part numbers for this:
059102 - flat moulding for under the stock guard. Original part from Pyramid.
059115 - has a cutout to accommodate the rounded bead under the stock guard. I believe this was probably created after complaints the original part did not

One will fit nicely, the other won’t.

Worth checking which you are getting if you order!

Interesting they should have two different ones, I just checked, mine I fitted last week is the 059115, and I used the sticky dots to fit, no problem with them, also used on other bikes, but the extenda does splay out some, as seen in the pics...
I don't mind this as it means it will block more crud, but not sure Its suppose to be like that...
The mounting area on the extenda is all flat against the Husky guard, not on any angle...

I have the earlier 102 version...which did not fit so it’s on the shelf rather than on the bike!
Yours look right to me.

Moe, Can I suggest you give Andy in customer support at Pyramid a call an have a chat, ask him why you have the one which doesn't fit, and see if you can do some sort of deal, even a discount on a correct one would be better than not having, I have had there extenda on all my bikes for a few years now, something I have to get before riding, as I hate the damage from loose stones and road crud, same with radiator screens, fork film, and the like, more important than extra bling initially for me...

Thanks for letting us know there is a trap here to...

I mailed Pyramid yesterday so will see what they say after they get back from the holidays. Mine looks like this, hard to see with the glue residue but the ‘tongue’ section is completely flat. Newer ones have a channel around the edge where extender meets tongue.

Ok I can see the difference there, as you say, no gutter channel for the lip to sit in, yet that was listed/supplied to fit the Vitpilen front guard, strange...
I have often thought these things fit best dry, as in test fitting when first getting, then by the time one adds sticky dots, the fit changes, and is not as good, maybe a good reason to use a glue or silicone construction joining compound, though way harder to get off if one desires to remove at some point...
I'm reasonably happy with the fit of my Husky one now...
