Back in 2011 I wrote about TE250 Oil filters on another site... still interesting so I thought I'd repost it here...
I'm doing a bunch of oil changes as I break in my new bike. And I saw three kinds of filters available, K&N, Hiflofiltro and Husqvarna. Well, I couldn't resist and bought one of each to compare.
At first glance the K&N and Hiflo look the same, but they aren't. Here's a shot from above.
The difference in heights don't bother me, but the internals are all a bit different. I'm not qualified to evaluate those differences. But the rubber seal looks a bit rounder on the Husky filter. Given these are all under pretty cheap, I think I'll stick with the Husqvarna one.
