hi guys. yesterday I had a long chat with the Barcelona dealer about the bike , I have one reserved with a deposit since september. So for the entire 2022. he will receive only 7 units to sell, first je said Husq is having manufacturing limitations and now he said also huskys like to be kind of exclusive bikes, offering limited units for all their models. well, this worried me . I dont want something exclusive. want a 890 adv with confort, better wind protection and better looking :) 😀. I am afraid of buying such a bike and be limited with aftermarket parts and spares from husqvarna. the bike is not cheap and may become an issue to maintain. this is my first husqvarna and I may be totally wrong with my thoughts 😕, son tell me yours ! 😀
cheers

I don't know about being exclusive as that is not a good business plan to spend time and money developing this bike only to sell it in small numbers. I would think they would want to manufacture and sell as many as possible. I think that distribution would be an issue right now. My dealer ordered 4 and thinks he will only get 1 (which I put a deposit on). As far as future parts availability I think the major components should be no problem as they are made by KTM and I'm guessing the cosmetic parts could be an issue?

It's very early days but I'm thinking the aftermarket companies will be all over this bike designing and manufacturing things for it but my thoughts are that it will be very popular.

If it is like the other Huskies, many of the hard parts, engine, suspension etc are the same as on similar KTMs. So that is pretty easy.
If I was concerned about anything, it would be about plastic trim pieces and the like. But I'm betting they sell a LOT of Nordens...

From my experience, the plastic parts hold up to "external factors" really well.

I am not sure if they offer one as a kit yet for the Norden... either way, I would recommend the clear 3m protect foil for the high wear areas.

it's basicly a KTM 890, so spare parts won't be a problem.
As for aftermarket, I've been in touch with some manufactures in England and Germany, which were eager to start on stuff (for example crash-bars).

Yes me too. Outback Motortrek have confirmed it will be making frame mounted crash bars along with other items. My guess is there will be a slew of AM parts for this bike!!
