Modified 401

Hi All, just about to get my 401 svart 2022 wire wheel version, but I want to modify it more like a hypermotard style , but I want to redo the rear end to accept quick release bags like orblieb
Has anyone modded like this or got any links, I can't find much online, seen some high front guards which I like and some of the scramblers on YouTube are cool

Are you looking at taller suspension then as well? Seems to me some have swapped stock for Adventure bits to increase height.

Not looked at that yet, love the 19 high exhaust so wanna do that, but want to create more of a cross between a supermotard and an adventure bike, bought another subframe to make an extension for want 3 bags up back + extra fuel tank and a beak up front with a cowl around instruments

If you search ‘401 Supermoto Build’ in this part of the forum someone tried to do what you are attempting, possibly? I do not think it went anywhere near completion but it may give you a reason not to do it yourself..

Hi Jester, yeah thanks, not a full on build, I have other bikes for that, love these 401s but just want it a little different, more body and usability than full on height, must have a high exhaust like the crossers, but be usable for trekking(not too much off road) will have a look mate, cheers

Seen it all now, prob agree with your comments Jester, need to make a new body kit it that were what I wanted, tho I can see what he was getting at, I have a very modded tnt125 benelli, some would say that's pointless...but it's fun, and I've also had a yam R1 that was brutal..too old for that now
Got the spare subframe now so will have a play and see what happens, cheers
