Is this normal?

Hello all,

I'm taking in my Husqvarna 801 to get a front sprocket oil leak repaired (2nd one) tomorrow. Before I take it in, I've noticed this. (See pic) is this normal or not? It appears as if a seal around the petrol filler has become distorted but it seems almost like it should be there as it's perfectly aligned between bolts. Just never noticed before.
Thanks in advance.

Don't know but might as well flag it to the shop when you take your bike in.

That's annoying that they couldn't fix the front sprocket leak on first try. This is quite a common issue now, wonder if Husqvarna are aware?

Yes. Speaking to the Husqvarna service this morning, there are rumours that a batch of genuine Husqvarna seals are defective.
So it's going to be a case of pot luck here I believe. See how it goes. I'll mention the petrol cap seal when I collect the bike. Forgot to ask intially. Thanks for the info.

Update......a new oil seal fitted. Will monitor. The fuel tank seal is normal. I checked another one they had in stock. Exactly the same. Phew.
