I have a 2022 Vit 401 with a FuelX Lite and i'm happy with that. I also have a recently purchased 2019 Vit 701 with the Kev's dongle and i think it's ok, just ok.
There is also the Rottweiler dongle but I've never had any practical experience with that.
Has anyone tried different basic fuel controllers on a 701 to get the best results and what did they think with each ?

I've had the Rottweiler dongle first and the Kev's currently.

The Rottweiler controller is much better than stock and a great value but it feels like riding a donkey on cocaine, fun at first but gets old pretty quickly. The Kev's one is much more balanced and will give you the performance while keeping good throttle control.

I haven't tried anything else.

I have the Dimsport Rapid bike easy. I like that it is adjustable and the ecu doesn't sus it out. I had the simple resistor type o2 eliminator before (similar to the rott.jpg) and it only gave a benefit for a couple of hundred miles? Before you splash cash on a different one for your bike I would recommend you try something 1st for free. Disconnect your dongle and connect your o2 sensor as original. Start your engine. DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE. Allow the engine to idle for 15mins. (This recalibrates your ecu to your bikes current state. Whether it is standard or has a different end can, filter etc.) Then reconnect your dongle. You should get the full effect from your dongle. You could take your bike for a short blast before reconnecting your dongle to give a before and after comparison?

This YouTube video is of my bike. Showing the rapid bike easy. The bike has modified air box, K&N filter, cat delete and straight through end can but because I carried out the ecu recalibration before fitting the rapid bike - it doesn't need to be dialed up to large setting to give the best tune. The ecu recalibration does the hard work.

Just ordered a Fuel X Lite for the 701 so it should be an interesting comparison between that and Kev's Dongle.
Twice the price and different principles of fuel control but i figure u get what u pay for........hopefully.

I'll try this.
Before i install the FuelX Lite i'll remove the O2 dongle and bring it back to standard + mods fuel wise (idle for 15 mins...no throttle)
I'm not keen on making a few changes all at once with the bike....poor little thing might get confused.
Ride the bike around for a bit (particularly at lower speeds) and see what i think ; and i think i won't be 100% happy and finish up adding the fuel controller in-to the system....we'll see.
