I just got my 2021 Enduro. Everyone says, and I read in motorcycle magazine articles, that the 2020 and 2021 models allow a rider to disable the rear ABS while leaving the front ABS operational. The owners manual says nothing to that effect. It tells you only how to switch the ABS off by pressing and holding the button to the left of the "combination instrument" (the dash display).

Does anyone know how the system works?

I think you need the dongle.
Read the details in this article:

And here:
Thanks for the links. I was hoping to avoid the dongle fix. While I can't find any info about about disabling the rear wheel ABS in the 701 manual or catalog, the new KTM 690 catalog says, "In Offroad Mode, the setting disengages rear wheel ABS...", so I'm thinking I just need to select Traction Control 2 and leave ABS on. I guess I'll ride some dirt in TC2 and see if I can lock up the rear wheel.

I was perusing the OEM parts costs for the 701E. I found the ABS module to be the most expensive item on the whole bike. More than double the cost of the frame. I was just floored that it costs so much. I would've been happy to not have ABS on my bike, especially since I paid too much for it.
I dunno, maybe it was a mis-print?
