    Crash bars for the 801

Well, I jumped off the bike in order to end up under it :-) So I only felt a gentle touch of rough tarmac on my hands :-) But I checked and haven't seen any bent part or any other sign of damage. But I have to admit that it happened at zero speed. I stopped and fell.

    Crash bars for the 801

Hi Guys, Finally, I've moved from theoretical research into real-world testing and have tested the Evotech crash bars. Don't ask me how; I just didn't use my brain properly. At least it's helpful for others. Evotech crashbars just paid for themselves. I have to admit it works fantastically...

    Weird noises

Hi @Snorkel, Thanks a lot! I adjusted the chain tension. But the sounds were still there. The solution was to clean the chain and lubricate it with Motorex oil. It sounds weird, but guys in the shop told me that the original lube is sticky and it might sometimes happen... Cheers and ride...

Mirrors, blind spot detection and dashcam

My sophisticated scientific research on mirrors came to an end. And surprisingly, I end up with what @Tom and @yonsson suggested :-) It does not look bad at all. And the visibility is even better than with stock mirrors since I don't look into my own shoulders (literally).

    Weird noises

Guys, just an update for anyone else dealing with that... I tightened the chain (btw, measuring with that shape of swing arm is "fun") and it became even worse :-) Then I washed the bike and cleaned the chain, used Motorex oil, and it stopped. It probably won't stop surprising me what noises a...

What happens at the 1,000km mark?

The only thing that should unlock when passing 1000km is RPM warnings. After 1000km, you can set up your own warning levels. That's what I was told in the shop and what I found in the owner's manual. I didn't notice anything... Besides what I mentioned above, but I haven't touched it :)

    Weird noises

Hi Guys, The bike makes strange noises when riding with the throttle closed, typically while slowing down. At first, I thought it was some kind of aerodynamic noise coming from around the headlight, fork, or something similar. Also because I wasn’t able to replicate it on the stand. With the...

Mirrors, blind spot detection and dashcam

By the way, does anyone have experience with Innov dash cams or any other dash cams? https://innovv.com/

Mirrors, blind spot detection and dashcam

Good point, Tom. I will give it a try... It's look and width. My original intention was to make it as narrow as possible. I used to ride in traffic jams, and every cm counted. But with Svartpilen, which has app. 100hp more than my previous electric Horwin EK3, my habits changed a bit. I am...

Mirrors, blind spot detection and dashcam

Well, I would say it's smart and I agree. But style is important :-) When it comes to visibility and clothing... I have very little experience with motorcycles. But from road cycling, I can say it's not that important what you wear. What works best are lights. Ideally flashing. I use two...

Mirrors, blind spot detection and dashcam

Thanks for the tip. Rizoma mirrors look good! I just bought three pairs of different mirrors from AliExpress to get an overview of dimensions and shapes that might suit me the best. It was app. 30 USD each, which is a reasonable price for the scientific research :-) Honestly, I was surprised...

Mirrors, blind spot detection and dashcam

Hi Guys! I am continuing my scientific research on rear mirrors, which has led me to explore blind spot detection systems and dashcams. I removed the original mirrors and replaced them with round mirrors under the handlebars. These were app. 8cm in diameter and app. 10cm under the handlebars...

CNC bar end mirrors fitted under handlebars.

Adding my bit here. I wanted to get rid of the original mirrors. And since I have no experience with this, I decided to buy cheap ones from Aliexpress for 30 USD before I buy something else. I have to admit that for 30 USD the quality is not bad, but it requires some custom manufacturing :-)...
