Way back in July I ordered a replica carbon 690 Duke cup bellypan from EF Products in Malaysia, with a plan to fit to my Svartpilen. Long story short, it never turned up and the guy stopped answering my messages. One of those things I guess, always a bit of a risk. Anyway, I was in the process...

Decided to swap the radiator shrouds for Vit ones. The originals are a bit fussy for my liking and foul the Duke crash bars slightly. The Vit option is cleaner and a little more narrow, win/win while looking stock-ish.

A few months back I picked up a Braking wave disc for a non-ABS 690 smcr, it was a bargain and worth a go. Turns out the older model discs are the same but recessed for the bolts. A problem solved with some 1.7mm titanium spacers from ProBolt.

The Vit and Svart are far from porky little bikes as standard, but it is still surprisingly easy to shed some extra weight. I have managed to shave just over 20lbs from mine, mostly by replacing the exhaust system (the stock system is shockingly heavy and the cat shrouds are just ridiculous)...

After the official Vit/Svart message board seemed to get switched off, I found myself homeless on the Internet. A quick search found this place, which seems to be a lot more active. By way of introduction, here is my 2020 with a few (hopefully tasteful) mods.
