    Coolant Leak

It was the head gasket. Destroyed at the exhaust side (according my mechanic). He changed it but I haven’t tried yet the bike.

No, nothing special in water and oil.

    Coolant Leak

It seems to be common on this last 690 engine.

    Coolant Leak

Thank you for your advice. I applied the Husqvarna procedure. Unfortunately, my test this morning lasted only 10 laps. All cooling water goes into the expansion tank. It's clearly the head gasket that is failing. I’ll have it changed but it’ll be too late for the first race in two weeks. I’m...

    Coolant Leak

I fixed it last week with an OEM hose. Everything seems to be ok. At the fifth bar of temperature, the fan starts and stops when it goes down to the fourth bar. Is it the same for you? The Samco hoses are somewhere on the way. I will test Wednesday for a track day and if all is OK, first race of...

    Coolant Leak

Thanks for the advice, I’ll put Samco hoses too. I have check : no water in oil or the opposite. Maybe the races season last year that weakened it.

    Coolant Leak

No. Never remove it. The bike has 4000 km. Just change the cooling liquid for water due to racing rules. Maybe bad bleeding.

Another kind of coolant loss. Yesterday during a track day. Have you ever seen this?

42t Sprocket Weights for Vitpilen 701, Svartpilen 701, and Duke 690

I did it for friction gain. Not sure I have it (my dyno guy says not noticeable) but I have at least a nice gold chain like a rapper! 😂

    Track Vits?

Last round of the supermono french championship : Alès, P7 twice The Vitpilen was perfect all the season against protopypes and Kraemers. Definitely a good bike for supermono racing.

    Air Filter 701

I plan testing on dyno this winter the Akra full exhaust with and without dB killer and air box with and without lid. And I think I will ride next year with a cross chain without Orings.

    Hitting the Pipe Catalogue

Now, it's 102 dB for races (but 95 dB for trackdays for most tracks). From 2024, it will be 95 dB for races too. It will be difficult to reach for many bikes.

    Hitting the Pipe Catalogue

Nothing like that on my exhaust. Anyway, my PCV is tuned for my configuration and the EFR is good at any revs. Furthermore, we are always at high revs on track.

    Hitting the Pipe Catalogue

Yes, currently same measurement. We will see the next one. For the last race, I was at 98 dB (without baffle and airbox lid).

    Hitting the Pipe Catalogue

Currently, it is at the exit of the track (after the race). The noise mesurement device is at 1 meter and 45° of the silencer and the revs level depends on the engine.

    Hitting the Pipe Catalogue

Of course, the measurement must be done outdoors without walls close and without other noises. But I think the guy who has the Dynojet bench will also do the noise measurement (outside of course). Anyway, a new procedure will be defined along the new 95 dB limit.
