    Svartpilen 401 snow riding

As much as I liked the Svartpilen and took it about everywhere, I would imagine a big bike with wind protection, a big engine, heated grips, probably some sort of a shaft driven model, and maybe even an emergency rescue button... or something similar would be much more comfortable in harsh...

    Svartpilen 401 snow riding

I rode my 401 in the snow and ice alot with the original Scorpion Rally STR. (Sometimes with normal street tires, that's less fun though) Would say like 10 to 20cm powder and packed snow and ice. Regardless of tire choice, Rekluse Auto-Clutch is in my mind the best way to go when slippery or...

    Svartpilen 701 Engine Noise

I would say, do the valves & change the oil, and pay special attention to what comes out with the oil and is in the screens, the normal metal debris or alot of metal shavings from the bearings.

    New Member Vitpilen Question

    2024 Svartpilen 401 Pictures!

I am sure there are other factors when they design a bike which come into play while selecting which power is targeted; such as frame strength, suspension quality, braking power, tire size, tank size, and on and on. Either way, I hope the RC390 brake finds it way into the 'pilen line up because...

But that's the thing, on an A2 detuned bike you can never get the full power, you can get 70kw but not more, so those big bikes are still limited far below the normal versions. They still sell or nobody would make em. The A2 390/401 sell so they make them.

The max. horsepower to minimum weight is limited by specific drivers-license requirements (at least in parts of europe). By increasing the weight they were able to increase the power. Max power for this class being 46.9 hp. Max power to weight being 0.268 hp per kg.

Someone told me that grease helps... I normally apply regular grease to the teeth of the output shaft, before I put the sprocket on The same person told me the problem is when it gets loose it wears the output shaft.

Without questioning your skill, how exactly are you torquing it... With a quality (expensive) torque wrench which has calibrated/dependable accuracy, or with a basic (cheap) one with questionable accuracy? And of course with a fresh-ish bottle loc-tite 243?
