I did not solder anything besides joining the wire from the flash trigger with the high beam one. The connector pins are the same, the difference is the housing, I used a tester to id each wire and lable them on each control and then put the pins of the replacement control to match the original...

It's not a direct change, y had to change the connector and joint some cables.

I did that a while ago. Use a 401 control on the left side to be able to add the flash/passing light trigger. I used the original connector and joined the flash cable to the High bean cable. No emergency lights though.

Were you able to fit the shock to the bike?

As far as I know: Svart: Bronze with spoked wheels is the 2020 style. Black with cast wheels, 2019. Vit: Blue with spoked wheels, 2020. Silver with cast wheels, 2018-2019. Edit: If you can get the VIN, the 10th number should be the year.

I have an Antigravity AG-801. It's been working great for almost 2 years.

It does come with one, but there is no place to keep it on the bike. If you really want to keep tools on the bike at all times, your best bet would be to change your battery for a lithium one, or to remove the evap system/charcoal canister and put the tools in the space left.

It's a Ducati, that price it's not surprising. However, I wonder how close to the claimed HP gain will the aftermarket sector get to while selling at a fraction of the price.

I need to complete the service in one day preferably. I do not have a place to leave the bike disassembled while I wait for the shims to arrive. I would have to take it apart, measure clearance, and put it back together once, and then, if needed get the shims and do it all over again. I figure...

I'm looking for a valve shim kit for these bikes. So far every kit available (that I've found) is for the 701 SM. I know they are basically the same engine, but I thought I'd ask to be sure. Anyone know the answer with certainty?

Without losing everything @Actionabe said, also keep in mind that the 690/701 Vit/Svart/SMC spoked front wheels use different brake rotors than the cast wheels (6 bolts vs 5) in case you were planning on changing only the wheel.

The more look at the exploded view of the parts the more I think those are glued. I'm tempted to spend the money on one of the covers just to see how it looks off of the airbox.
