    Timing Chain Tension Noise

This is This is a very subjective thing. My bike never sounded as bad as what you hear in most videos that showcase the rattling sound; however, every time I put earplugs before starting the bike, I could always hear a little clacking noise on cold starts. The interesting part is that the...

    Dutch Vitpilen 701

This was a while ago, so it might be a bit late to recall the details, but did removing the SAS make any difference besides decluttering the engine's look?

New Svart 701 rider with some questions : 3rd gear sound/noise

I think I know what @Freccianera and @Albator are referring to. I wouldn't describe it as an additional noise. What I experience is that, for some reason I don't know, the third gear has a different pitch than the other gears. I especially notice it when riding with earplugs. As far as I can...

That is the part number I used when I bought it for myself. It's that same part you marked in the picture.

Final version. This one is closer to the tank's cover look when the light isn't mounted.

Double-sided VHB tape has been working fine, even over the vinyl wrap. I still need to test how it will fare on the hottest days, but it's been good so far.

    Svart front wheel swap?

I am no expert here but, I would imagine that if a change in wheel diameter affects the TC it will do so at all times, not only at deceleration within a specific engine RPM range. I could be wrong though.

    “Passenger seat”

It fits with the flat track number. It's *tight but it does fit. Make sure you hide the passenger handle strap under the rigid cover. Edited for spelling

    “Passenger seat”

That is not a seat. It's a plastic cover that is not meant to have any weight put on it. The Vitpilen's seat looks like the one in the picture. To answer your question, yes, the cover you posted fits the Svartpilen with the rear number/fairing on, but it is really tight. If you take off the...

    No gear indication

Not a fix, but try this. Cycle through the gears with the bike off. Go all the way up to 6th, and then to first. Turn the key to ACC power and find neutral. The green light should turn on even if the gear Number/letter doesn't show on the dash. At this point, you should be able to turn the bike...

There's some space, but it's not much, maybe for a flathead bolt or something low-profile. I remember a few discussions about the tanks on these bikes getting a bit deformed and impeding the covers to fit properly. I do not want any metal rubbing against the plastic tank. I'll go with the...

    Need suggestions!

There are some attachment points for the cable inside the housing. I'm still debating whether to run the cable towards the front or straight down. My main intention was to use bolts and nuts to fix it to the tank cover and drill a hole for the wire, but I don't think there is enough space...
