If you mean the red rubber ring on the bottom of the fork stanchion, that's a travel indicator. It's used to guage how much fork travel you are using. Slide it up to the top, go for a ride, and the position of the ring displays the travel you used. Can be usefull when setting up the forks.

Neutral should not be hard to find. On my Vit, when neutral gets difficult, it usually means I need to bleed the clutch. 😅

Ah, so I was close 😅 BTW on the Vit the procedure to turn off the tc is: press and hold the unmarked button until the screen shows: release button. Then let go of the button and your tc light should turn on, and the tc should be off.

If I remember correctly, you can't turn off tc on the svart 701, but I'm not 100% sure

All I cound find for the smc was 149 dry. It's not the big leap compared to the 690 I was hoping for. It's down on torque quite a bit. (In standard trim) and power is only slightly higher. So my guess is for the street, the 690 is a still the better bike. Which I find dissapointing really. I...

I just order the two filters. I have a box of copper washers, and you can reuse the o-rings and just clean the screens. Partnumbers for the original filters are: 75038046100 and 58038005100

Mine is cracked as well, but I just leave it as is. When in place the cracks are closed off, never noticed any negative effects.

That makes sense, go for it! The official upgrade kit is reasonably priced I think, or you could do what Lozion did for even less.
