New Ducati Single Cylinder 659cc Engine

All I cound find for the smc was 149 dry. It's not the big leap compared to the 690 I was hoping for. It's down on torque quite a bit. (In standard trim) and power is only slightly higher. So my guess is for the street, the 690 is a still the better bike. Which I find dissapointing really. I...

New Ducati Single Cylinder 659cc Engine

I really hope they'll make a street legal supermono with this engine. Please make it as pretty as the original, and max 150kg dripping wet on decent suspension and proper brakes. 🤞🏻 🥰

    Oil change kit info?

I just order the two filters. I have a box of copper washers, and you can reuse the o-rings and just clean the screens. Partnumbers for the original filters are: 75038046100 and 58038005100

    Vitpilen 701 Oil Separator Failure/Replacement

Mine is cracked as well, but I just leave it as is. When in place the cracks are closed off, never noticed any negative effects.

    New Member Vitpilen Question

That makes sense, go for it! The official upgrade kit is reasonably priced I think, or you could do what Lozion did for even less.

No problems here blocking the rear wheel with the back brake when torqueing to 100Nm. Just pulled the front sprocket cover again, about 450km since I torqued it to 100Nm, and it's still in place 🥳 I'll keep checking it regularly, but I'm pretty confident it'll be fine from now on.

Indeed, but it also reduces vibrations. When I replaced my dampened front sprocket on my 990 with an undampened one, I noticed a significant increase in vibrations in my left foot peg.

Did about 130km this morning: So, took it off again, cleaned everything, and put it back on, this time I torqued it to 100Nm. Let's see if this holds.

Looks like I have the exact same dvd, but with a different manual on it 😅 My dvd: And the content: 80Nm. 🤷🏻‍♂️ But I'll definitely torque it to 100Nm if it comes off again. I'll get a new lock plate as well.

My manual says 80Nm (official cd bought from Husqvarna) 😅 it's on 85 now. I greased the splines, always do. I'll torque it to 100Nm if it comes off again. I was surprised to see 80 in the manual, my 990 was 100 as well. An undampened sprocket is usually full of holes, so you can lockwire it...

It's a very common thing on 690's according to the Internet, and the original sprocket was loose as well. I'm pretty sure it's not me or the way I work/tools I use.

Mid range torque wrench, which gets checked at my workplace. So I'm pretty certain that's OK. The loctite is not fresh, but not ancient either.
