Thanks @LuisLAN I thought about the lithium battery as a solution but from the measurement I've seen online the lithium batteries are manufactured to be the same size as the stock battery, or really close to it. What battery did you go with?

Thanks. Yes, that battery is easy and effective. Do you know if the foot peg delete is the same on a Vit and a Svart? Totally unnecessary to have those on my bike. SAS looks like a real PITA to do for no real improvement other than saving 2(?) lbs.

After just riding "dirt" bikes and supermotos with 1 1/4 inch bars, the 7/8 inch bars on the Svart 701 just didn't cut it. Got some grip puppies which so far feel great. Used some diluted car was soap to slide them on with really not much of a problem. Also felt naked riding the streets of NYC...
