    Dirt tricks TC-3 tensioner

Mine does that too, I was under the impression it is normal... maybe I will order a new one... should be easy enough to change out.

    Mounted wave front disc

🤷‍♀️ I guess you could see if the part number can be read from the brake you have on now and google it for the fitment... when its the same as duke / rc 390 then you know.

    Mounted wave front disc

The pads I use are the ones you can buy from Husqvarna (KTM) dealership / parts store; theyre not listed in the Brembo aftermarket catalog. They say Brembo on them with a KTM part number, similar to the Galfer rotor from KTM which has both Galfer and KTM lasered on it. To your front, the rotor...

    Range/Fuel Tank

A bit tough to say... the big single can get really thirsty when it gets throttled. Probably best to test it gradually on your own cause so many factors at play (chain lube, tire pressure, etc.) The lady at rider magazine writes that 160 miles is possible...

    Mounted wave front disc

I now use the KTM/Brembo sintered ones. Seems to give the right feel for my preference when in combination with the wave rotor.

Seeing those graphs makes me want to do more dyno runs 🙈🙈🙈

    Exhaust Retrofit

Emmisions standards are ever changing. The relocation clearly is to improve emissions.

Can somebody confirm there is no red Loctite on the rear turn signal assembly bolts from the factory?

Maybe they confused the pink/purple for the red? I could see using pink/purple on that sort of stuff like turn signals or something.

    Rekluse Radius X Auto Clutch

I have seen that there is one for the 701 / 690, the kit comes with a special slave cylinder (with a screw in it to adjust free play gain) Was rather expensive and I havent felt it to be as necessary on the bigger motor as it was on the 401.

    Pillion seat cover weight?

Normally the seat width on the svartpilen 701 and the vitpilen 701 is different, due to the number plate plastic on the svartpilen. So, having not tested it myself, would assume that it wont fit unless the number plate piece is removed.

Svartpilen 801 soon to be a reality.

Would be nice if they only wait because it must be the 1001 based in the new 990 "the sniper" duke.

Fan turns on when installing battery

To be sure, you have a charger specially designed for that type of lithium battery, the battery is disconnected while charging, and the positive terminal (red) is connected first after charging.

    Ride Pictures!

The stock antifreeze isnt the best on the 401... and I would recommend checking the radiator hoses regularly for wear, where they touch the engine block especially. (Dont ask me how I know :sneaky:)

What's the purpose of the exhaust chamber?

I would recommend leaving the cat and chamber installed. When the performance with the stubby is lower than desired, I would recommend a pipe like this: Thread 'Super Cheap (Rainy Day) Project' https://hqvadventure.com/forum/threads/super-cheap-rainy-day-project.355/

New Ducati Single Cylinder 659cc Engine

Mine put out 63nm @4600rpm and max 75nm @6800. Only Akro pipe, stock airbox and filter. (But thats why everyone buys 800 dollar Akro pipe, 5% power and absolutely no increase to volume) Edit: would expect the same from a Duc Pipe except with more loudness

    Oil change kit info?

    Other options for filters are... Hiflo: HF155 HF651 Or K&N: KN155 KN651

    Valve shim kit?

I have used a Hot Cams 10mm Shim Kit, and a Moose 10mm shim Kit; they both work. Next time I get one it will probably be a Moose one again. Normally any 10mm shim kit should work.

Svartpilen 801 soon to be a reality.

I think the question of motor must be simple strategy question, does KTM choose to sell Made in China or Made in Austria for this model.

Finally got the chance to take the Conti's out, and scrapped the pegs for the first time on this bike...
