    when i was looking at buying a 790/890 (before I choosed 701) I reviewd all the dynos and saw repeatedly that with short pipe is loses perfromance pretty bad. The 890 I almost buyed was black / black and had a slash cut style short pipe and performance packs and it was way worse than a bone...

    I really hope that that is a real exhaust design and not like the concept vs reality on the 701s. Not that my akro isnt pretty...

    Sounds like battery is low or weak. The original battery is not known for having good performance. Otherwise you could check the wire to the starter and the battery for clean and tight connections.

    Good post. How exactly did "see" the oscillation? I mean, when you pull/push on the sprocket did it move... or was it not until you took the carrier off that the movement was visible?

    I think there is a misunderstanding, in the olden days sensory trickery for racing was simple as the old tech was more simple, in the olden days it not so simple on the newer bikes.

    Depend in the tire. Seems like it must be around 30.5 or 31 PSI for this one... not absolutley certain yet though as they still pretty fresh. You running 29 in the Conti supermoto?

    After the First few goes at it, getting the impression that the Conti Road 4 front is the most pressure sensitive front tire so far. As if 1 psi is the difference between a rock and a sponge; where in middle there somewhere it just chews asphalt like bubble gum 🙉

    Weird transmission/clutch behaviour...

    Agree with SvePil, there is always some drag especially when cold. Otherwise, if there is much more drag than normal, and for example, the engine slows when in gear and bike stopped with clutch pulled, this could come from some air inside clutch line and need to bleed the fluid.

    I had a manufacturing defect on a front sprocket one time, where the spline was off the plane from the teeth.

    701 faults and durability

    I had the rekluse on my old 401 svartpilen. It made the bike for me. Now with the 701 vitpilen it is a different bike, I dont feel that it is absolutely necessary. Although I personally have not tested it, there is one for a 690 that will work... not sure how many 690 ones there are though...
