I’ve removed the grip and replaced it with heated grips using the existing throttle tube, as mentioned, just remove the ridges from the tube.

Vitpilen 701 Clutch master cylinder seal

Update. I managed to get the EPDM seal onto the plunger, the NBR seal is currently in a contain with some DOT 5.1 brake fluid to see if it swells. I had my first ride with the EPDM seal fitted and all is well, no signs of any kind of leak, the leaver is returning fully. So all good 👍

Vitpilen 701 Clutch master cylinder seal

Im seeing how it goes, the standard seals are crap. Nothing to loose as it is the clutch and not the brakes The EPDM seal is a bit stiff and hard to get onto the plunger. Hot water would help ! As I mentioned, I’m going to see how it goes, any problems with the seal and I will let everyone...

Vitpilen 701 Clutch master cylinder seal

I’ve had to dreaded clutch master cylinder failure again, the first time it happened, I stripped, cleaned the cylinder and seals. Reassembled it and it all worked. It finally failed again. On dismantling the piston and seals, I noticed that the seal seems to have swelled, and this is what has...

    ABS can failure mid ride.

I replaced mine with the Motogadgets Speedo sometime ago. When opening up the original Speedo assembly, it was apparent that moisture was the cause of the faults on the circuit board. No problem with any faults now.

    Obd2 tool not connecting

The fault you describe sounds more like the dreaded dash issue and not actually a fault with anything else on the bike. I found that the dash dose this with the slightest amount of moisture in the dash causing internal tracking and thus goest faults ! maybe BS tho.

    Coolant Leak

You also have to remember that you only need the tiniest of holes or crackers in the gasket for the gasses to pass with the high pressures in the cylinder.

    Coolant Leak

Had the head gasket go on my wr250x, couldn’t see any visible signs where it was leaking. Cleaned the head in a flat surface with some fine wet & dry, double checked that there wasn’t any cracks in the cylinder to water jacket, checked the valves while the head was off and all back together...

    Coolant Leak

I start buy filling the radiator and ensuring it’s done the correct way to ensure that all the air is out of the system, make sure the reservoir is filled between the minimum and maximum levels. take for another run and see if the same happens. Another one that can sometimes be seen, is with the...

    Coolant Leak

That hose has swelled up a lot, dose it go back down when the bike is cool and is the radiator full when it has cooled down ? looks like it is under high pressure, if the head gasket isn’t passing, the radiator cap may not be releasing the pressure when the engine is hot.
