Holy smokes! That looks great! I’ve been looking for something to replace the originals. Where did you find those?

    401s Discontinued?

    Probably because it’s unchanged.

Kinda expensive to swap the front tire if not needed. I hope I’ll be happy with the road 6. I’ve had Road Sports on previous bikes (20-10 years ago) and they were great. I only ride good tarmac, the roads here in Sweden are excellent, especially compared to the US and most of Central Europe.

Freshly serviced and Road 6 applied. The bike is now a lot more willing to lean into corners.

Agree. I read a lot of reviews before deciding on the Road 6. Some reviews mentioned some tires weren’t straight, I don’t remember if that was the mutants. Found only positive comments about the Road 6.

There are two versions in Sweden 2025. The regular 77kw (no quickshift) and the L version 70kw (no quickshift).

It definitely helps. I haven’t had a stall since installing it and I can use the second gear in 25km/h-30km/h which I couldn’t before. It’s a little fiddly but getting the headlight back together with all the wires inside was worse.

Another option is to just not use it. 🤣

I don’t use the quickshifter a lot, only sometimes, pretty seldom. I do however always ride in dynamic mode. Throttle response: Sport Wheelie angle: Medium Slipadjust: 3 (or 8 when it’s very wet) I do like to wheelie and it drove me crazy to have to turn off the ABS and TC every time I...

    First Bike, 2023 or 2024?

The display on the 2024 is an upgrade for sure. When it comes to looks I think they are pretty different. The 2024 has a cheaper looking headlight and the rear lacks the short slimmed looks of the 2023. I also like the frame on the 2023 a lot better and I don’t like the under swung exhaust of...

By the way. I checked on the order I made in December for forged carbon heel guards today. It was supposed to arrive in March. It has been pushed up til September.

Tom productions tail tidy. I rode 300km today. 5000km total on the tires and the rear is pretty much done.

    First Bike, 2023 or 2024?

Because of the looks and lower weight.

    Suspension upgrade

You don’t have compression setting on your fork? I am confused. I weight about the same as you, a little higher even and I think the fork is great. I have no idea if a 790 fork will fit. The 801 supposedly has the same suspension as the Duke 990 but with different inners.

    Fender Eliminator

Correct. Not a hard swap but pretty fiddly, especially if you don’t do it in the right order so you have to do it twice.

When I bought my 401, I also bought an Akra system for it. I spend a lot of time trying to remove the db-killer but gave up and bought a MIVV instead. The Akra db-killers (like all other legal EUR5+ exhausts) has a welded db-killer that can be very hard to remove.

    801 Throttle Spacers, any joy?

    I don’t have any throttle play… Probably a setting/adjustment needed.
