Does the Svartpilen 701 Come With a Tool Kit?

My bike came with a Shorai when I got it 4 years ago. Never been on a charger, always fires right up. 👍🏻

Fan turns on when installing battery

^^ what he said. Sounds totally normal.

Fan turns on when installing battery

Correct. If that solves it, you need to replace that switch.

Fan turns on when installing battery

No, you remove the rubber plug and disconnect the electrical connector that’s underneath to see if that stops the fan from running continuously.

Fan turns on when installing battery

No offense, but how would a diagram help if you don’t know what a thermal switch is. Hint (take the rubber off):

Fan turns on when installing battery

Disconnect the thermal switch in the radiator (left hand side), and see if the problem disappears.

    Vit 701 steering damper...

Last update on this project. Short version: I've given up. Longer version: I have tried two different dampers, on multiple settings, with different kinds of oil, all aimed at reducing the stiction as much as possible. What I noticed: - heavier oil causes less stiction - steering dampers are...

New Ducati Single Cylinder 659cc Engine

Sas and carbon canister together is probably 2lbs yes. I basically did that to declutter. I think the duo footpegs and brackets are the same for the Vitpilen and the Svartpilen 701…

New Ducati Single Cylinder 659cc Engine

Cat is still there (gives the best midrange torque), but lithium battery, duo pegs delete, sas delete, and some small bits and bobs, yes

New Ducati Single Cylinder 659cc Engine

Well, I weighed my own Vitpilen 701 a while ago, 150kg wet, with a full tank. (admitted, not stock anymore, but still) Anyway, we'll have to see how much midrange torque the Ducati engine has.

New Ducati Single Cylinder 659cc Engine

Yeah, I saw the video. (cringy btw, this bike definitely aimed at the younger generation :-P ) Anyway, it looks the biz, always loved the Hypermotard concept. But also, 150kg without fuel (the SMC is under 150kg WITH fuel), 10Nm less torque at 1000 more rpm... Anyway, looking forward to a...

If they can’t get it under 150kg wet, it’s a lost cause.

New Ducati Single Cylinder 659cc Engine

It all depends on the power delivery, but yes, bring it on Ducati. Competition is good. (don't forget the latest Euro 5 690 engines are much peakier than ours..)

New Svart 701 rider with some questions : 3rd gear sound/noise

Been riding a Vitpilen 701 for 4 years and/or 11k miles, doesn't ring a bell. Sorry (that said, these engines can be rather noisy)

    Vit 701 steering damper...

Round two. The adjustable damper was sent out and serviced by a suspension specialist, but by construction, this model is just seems prone to stiction. There is an internal spring pushing the separator piston down. So there is always internal pressure buildup. In round two I used the new gen 3...

    Aftermarket parts questions

Each will have some effect, shorter gearing and removed airbox lid had the biggest -positive- effect for me.

    Aftermarket parts questions

I'm thinking of Coober, but before you do shell out for that, there are ways to make your bike less jerky for less money. - Rottweiler Fuel Dongle - shorter gearing (stock 16-42 is really too tall) - remove the airbox lid
