Galfer discs are considered a performance upgrade in the US. I feel like they bite a little better initially than normal disks but not an actual upgrade at full braking.

Looks really good! Curious to see how it turns out when you get all your mods on it. I ended up buying a buell xb12r to play with while I wait for the vitpilen.

Mine is pretty oily there from chain lube and gunk that flys off, gets hot and then drips down. If your worried I would pull the sprocket cover and check the shaft seal, I think some have had a leak there and it’s easy to check.

All the XSR900 GP videos are coming out now too.. that looks so good… if they give the vitpilen a fairing and release it next year all is forgiven lol

Looks good, thanks for the pictures! Have you ridden a 701? If so how would you compare it? How was the quick shifter? I don’t think the 701 one is very good on upshifts, decent on down.

I thought my 701 controls were big before I got a 401, they seem to be about twice as big and make the 701 controls look really refined.

Yeah the color is a big thing to me as well, just would rather not have to make all those changes if I don’t have to. Doing new bars, tires, paint, brakes, fender and belly pan would be a little excessive on a new bike. I’ve modified several bikes to be exactly what I want but then it gets out...

I usually use compressed air under the grip to loosen it and pull it off…

Look at the instructions to install the throttle spacers to remove slack to see what’s in there.
