Has anyone figured out the turn signal problem when trying to use aftermarket LED signals? I wired in some, got the hyper flash and error so I ordered a resistor kit advertised to work on 21-25 ktm 790 and 890s to clear up the flashing and fault. I installed them and there was no change at all...

My 701 has the same headlight as the 801 svart i think. The 801 vit is fine at night, maybe even better… Only thing I dislike about the 801 vit headlight is that it makes a weird reflection on road signs that makes you think there is a cop behind you lol.

If I had to guess everything in development was paused when they went into bankruptcy, hopefully bajaj approved it to continue.

I don’t plan on removing the Cat, but if I did I would be tempted to fab an exhaust that is lower like the 701. I think that would clear up the heel issue and look better. Maybe eventually..

Yeah still stock, I’m sure pads would make a big difference. But since I’m going to put brembos on it it’s not worth it to swap the pads right now.

Test ride was successful, braking is slightly better but not a huge change to me. I think the calipers will help more.

I also need to figure out if there is a way to finesse the fit so that my heel stops hitting the exhaust when I’m on the balls of my feet.

On the drawing for the custom it says a 10mm shorter exhaust, that looks like a lot more than 10 mm though, more like 50-70

Yeah that is a big drop in midrange where most riding is done. curious if it is backpressure, length or volume. Probably a combination of all three.

The 320mm rotors from my 701 mag wheels would work better, but I want to keep my second wheel set intact.

Installed the 320mm rotors I had from my 701 project. Haven’t test ridden it yet but those stock 790 rotors are boat anchors with the metal center. These are much lighter. The brembos will be a little longer project because the brake line ends are the wrong angle. Duke 890 R lines would work so...

I am curious how much volume the 790 engine needs in the can, the arrow ones are a little shorter. I feel like the stock exhaust would look really good if you shortened it by a few inches. I shortened the stock can on my 701 and I feel like it really improved the looks.

Thanks for the examples Tom, I probably won’t go that yellow but do want to add some. The color seems unbalanced stock with how bright the tank is. I am little interested in how Ducati did the wheel paint on their super moto. Might have to photo shop something like that to see how it would look...
