    Service Light On

Thanks. I found the service reset info on pg 220 of the Norden repair manual. That was it.

    Service Light On

Let’s get back to the service reset. Can that be done without dealer assistance? And if so, how? (Coolant level, spark & fan are fine. No animal nests)

    Service Light On

Just started riding again as the Louisiana weather sauna is easing up. Pulled the bike out of the garage today for the second ride in two days and noticed that it had puked some coolant where it was parked. After starting it up I noticed that the idle was erratic and low as in bordering on...

New Bike, now all I need is a Plaid Shirt.

Did you pull your rear brake pads prior to the Dynp pull? If not, you might do that and the front pads as well 😊.

    Norden 901 Challenging Stelvio Pass

Very nice & thanks for posting. Much more heat than a Suzuki V-Strom 1037. I would also like to believe that the Norden’s heat is from the Cat, but it feels like the source of heat is from the front of the engine/radiators. Looking forward to your modification reports. Cheers.

    More Rubbers (please)

Not so unless those jumps, pothole etc. are actually removing metal from your wheels. No biggie. You can always balance (& mark) your wheels without tires to get the same information… heavy spot of the wheel & corresponding weight. Remember…It’s better to ride motorcycles instead of a keyboard.

    The Vit 701 suspension thread

Linear rate springs rule! (Everything else is a band-aid for ”one size fits all”) The correct spring rate is a function of your weight (& sag).

UK Dunlop’s have historically been different than US Dunlops. I know many who only run Dunlops. I have not tried them in over 30 years.

The 5 & 30 gram weights were decals on the marked heavy spots by Husqvarna on the Ft & Rr cast wheels I previously acquired. Somebody was reading up on my previous posts…

    More Rubbers (please)

Yeah but ya got put rubber on em & then see what ya got. The less weight added the better. The more perfect the balance the better. Why, because we can. 🙂
