Hi everyone!

I own a Husqvarna Svartpilen 801 SE, and I’ve noticed that the bike generates quite a lot of heat, especially when riding in city traffic or sitting at traffic lights. The temperature gauge often stays around the 3/4 mark, and the heat coming from the engine can get pretty intense, particularly in stop-and-go traffic. I understand that these bikes naturally run hot, especially in urban conditions, but I was wondering if anyone has found effective ways to manage or reduce the engine temperature. Have you tried any modifications, aftermarket parts, cooling system upgrades, ECU tuning, or other solutions that have made a noticeable difference? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences and any recommendations. I’m particularly interested in solutions that work well for city riding.

Thanks in advance!

Honestly I don't find it especially bad compared to other bikes I have owned. (Try a Ducati Panigale for example, it will roast your man parts!)
You could look into fitting a different thermo switch to make the fan cut in sooner, or a fuel controller (like the FuelX) but I'm not sure it would make a huge difference.
Any bike in heat over 35ºc will feel unpleasant.

I’m pretty sure the Fielx Pro+ lowers the heat. I have a spare since I just sold the bike but I can see you don’t live in EU. I can highly recommend buying one.

The new fueling requirements to meet emissions run bikes very lean, which increases heat. As yonsson said a fuelx will help. In general I've always found twins to make a lot of heat. Ducatis are very bad.

She definitely is hot, and specially during trafic, and it is annoying....

Fuel X or Coober i'd say, decat helps too !
