Rear brake light switch location - 2021

Hi all,

It looks like the rear brake light switch/sensor has gone on my 2021 Svartpilen 401. I am having trouble locating it on my bike... I thought I should first confirm where it is before I start pulling the thing apart. I can't seem to find much online about this for my particular model, and nothing in the manual either.

I have seen the newer versions have the switch on the end of the foot pedal lever cylinder. But I have also heard they are located by the ABS module, which I believe is situated somewhere underneath the tank?

Does anyone have any insights here? Otherwise I'll just start pulling the thing apart and see what I can reveal.
