Shift lever adjustment

Has anyone adjusted their shift lever position?
Is it just a simple as adjusting the rod? Or does it impact the quickshift module?

I’m looking to change the angle, since I feel I have to make quite the upward-movement to shift from first to second. It feels like I’m overstretching my foot.

So I figured I’d lower the lever a bit.
Does this make sense?

I did it, is jut adjusting the rod, very easy.
I did the same thing on the brake pedal but it a bit harder to find the right position
