Hi all,

Anyone using this item on the 801 ?
Does it fit ok ? Use of pads ? What's your favorite bag capacity on the 801 tank, what would be your maximum ?
Another product that would fit the 801well and the kriega bags ?

Thks.

I've no experience with the Kriega tank adapter, but here some pics of the Rhinowalk tank adapter with a 10 Liter Rhinowalk drybag attached to the 801; it's quite similar.

Thank you Tom, and for your precedents posts, today is the day i get to test your method for the pillion seat and Kriega bags... ! Grey straps looks better than black indeed !

I pick up my brand new 801 this afternoon ! On the Rhino, you have full access for filling the tank, not on the Kriega as i see, but there's two fast buckle release on it.
10 L is already big, i was thinking of putting a 20 but i hope it won't get in the way !

Are the lower straps mounted on the frame or you had to use velcro pads (Kriega) ?

You're welcome.
I don't think refueling will be much different with either.
Yes, the lower straps are attached to the frame.
Enjoy your new bike!

So, here's the Kriega Tank adapter: it sits nicely, fuelling is accessible, mounted on top to the big loop on the frame and below with the Kriega velcro pads, also maintained by the seat. The hold seems strong though not fully attached to the frame, (i couldn't find where...), ready to hop on the drypacks ! On the pillion seat, i went for the Oxford Nomad, i prefer the look of it instead of having 4 little black loops popping out. There she is :

I use SW-Motech Pro Tank bag with the Tank Ring adapter. Shown together with SW-Motech Tail bag too.
I'm generally a huge fan of SW Motech but I can't figure out their thinking here. It puts the tankbag in your gut and without the bag on the bike it is quite ugly looking. Add to that it is very expensive for a tanklock style ring (I got the Givi ring for $26 USD (vs $65)). All just so you can access the fuel filler without popping off the bag.

Afternoon ride...

Very good quality for those bags, strong and sturdy, really like them and i can modulate if i need too...
One thing though i discovered afterwards those sites with what seem to be the same product or equivalent (?) for a fraction of the price...

Thanks ! What's the best item in your opinion for a tail tidy ?

I agree, just like the 401, the 801 needs one too...

It depends on whether you will keep the stock exhaust and the stock indicators/turn signals; and also on your crafting possibilities.
Your french number plates are quite wide; that makes it even more challenging.
With the stock exhaust and the stock indicators the most simple solution should be the "Top Block" (with the heatshield) or the "Zieger/Ibex" with the additional indicator brackets to fit the stock indicators.

Top Block:

Zieger / Ibex:

If you have some crafting possibilities, you could give the adapted Duke 390 (2024+) tail tidy a try.
