It's been a while, so I don't remember exactly in what order I did things, but I'm quite sure I removed the ignition cover where there was some oil, and pulled the plug where there was some more. So I'd say You should take the ignition cover off too, and make sure to let it drain properly, clean...

Well, I'm sad to say "my wife" did the same... Happened some two years ago, almost shit myelf when I realized (what my wife had done). I ended up draining the oil through the plug and removing the cover, after which I realized there's a drain from that side so there wasn't that much oil left in...

Thanks for waking the thread up! I forgot to report that the inconsistent breaking is completely gone after the change! The feel at the lever is a bit better, and the bite too. I can only recommend the upgrade!

Was that AFTER You switched disc and pads? Then I would suggest that You've applied the brakes when hot, having them leave brake pad residue on the disc (which I take it is the most common cause of pulsating brakeing, after quite some reading on the web).

In what way did You think something was wrong? WEird feeling at the lever? Poor brake power? Inconsistent brake power?

Sounds promising! Hope the disc and the sintered pads will add some bite too. What pad so You run? Have You experienced better braking power?

Me too! The sound is great! It's got a really good grunt to it, from idle to full rev, without being loud in a way that (obviuously) irritates the surroundings. I cannot swear that the performance really is improved, but in combination with stage I and II air filters its much more inspiring to...

Don't worry, the ring got there before the wheel got back on the bike. Expensive!!! I've looked around a bit without finding it at any better price than at the local dealer, about €280. Got tired of the uneven braking, and digging through the internet.

I've had issues with uneven braking from the front brake since I got the bike (used, at 5' km). The old disc is not warped, but there's been a very slight variance in thickness. I suspect there's been brake pad residue stuck unevenly from applying the brakes while standing still following some...
