I had the choice to either not ride for a few days, or mix in a few litres of 91. I’ve done the latter obviously - I’ll fill to the brim today with 98 (I’ve only got 91,98 or diesel to choose from🙃) and go for a highway cruise. I’ll ask the boys on the first service
I do 😇. Just trying to find the perfect sweet spot. The fueling has improved 10 fold! The sad thing is that I couldn’t get decent fuel, couldn’t get anything more than 91 octane so only put a bit in
Hey team,
Have just replaced the paper filter with an K&N, and the lid with the MWR lid. Bike has been started, but I am waiting for the fuel X Pro to arrive today before any test rides.
I am very interested in the Arrow knock off myself.
I must say though @Tom the colours you’ve chosen there are near on perfect in the photos. They all really suit the bike. I’m a big fan - my opinion is subjective though 🙂
I did have a fuel x pro in the 401. I was planning on doing the same with the 801, especially with the free flowing exhaust and possible air filter upgrades. How do you rate the Coober?
I had a similar set up on my 401 - air filter and air filter cover where both free flow K&N. I didn’t ever have any issues, can’t say it was left in the rain much though? The difference in performance was better, but minimal - the sound however was intoxicating
Yep correct, it’s an upgrade to the filter lid. I’m not worried about filtration/dust where I live, though you can get a power plate lid that’s more directed to the 790 adventure, with double filtration. Honestly I was addicted to the intake noise to the stage 2 induction system on my last bike...
Ok awesome, thanks for the info. Mines now just a straight through pipe . I guess if we’re talking minimal loses it’s not a big deal for me, though I do like the idea of the fuel x pro - not the lite. I haven’t had any issues with stalling yet.
I kept the old one, though when I fixed the exhaust leak with some gasket silicone I ran a few rings around the manifold also before I clamped it shut.
